There are multiple technical approaches for exchanging data between Intelligence Hub and Tulip. The optimal approach to use is determined by the application use case and the direction of the flow of data. This article covers exchanging data with Tulip using the Intelligence Hub Rest Server.

What is Tulip?

Tulip enables frontline operations to build solutions to digitize their processes. These solutions are referred to as Apps and these Apps are typically targeted solutions solving a specific and unique business problem. Tulip is cloud hosted software as a service.

The Intelligence Hub REST Server:

Intelligence Hub includes a REST Gateway for data ingress and egress using HighByte Connections and Models. The REST Server may be enabled in the Settings page of the Intelligence Hub. The REST Server offers a wide range of endpoints for use by external systems. Tulip can issue requests to the REST server which opens up many use cases between the Intelligence Hub and Tulip.

The following process may be used to configure Intelligence Hub’s REST Server. The following instructions address the general process. Step-by-step instructions are beyond the scope of this article and intermediate knowledge of Intelligence Hub and Tulip is assumed.
